The Past 36 Hours

If you didn't know, my new favorite holiday song is Christmas Cannon Rock which is found on the third cd from Trans Siberian Orchestra called The Lost Christmas Eve.

Oi, so I decided that I'm not going to decorate my apartment for Xmas. Less stuff for Ayla to destroy. Really  no big deal, not to mention I wasn't in the mood. I get to work yesterday and the purchasing agent says that she is going to go to the store and pick out a pre-lit tree that needs decorating, and it was my job to do it. Joy! The tree comes around 2pm, and I get it out of the box and try to figure out how to set it up. Finally got all the cords and the lights right...white lights...boring! Now came the dreaded part of spreading out all the freaking branches. Yeah, I have cuts all over my hands, wrists, and fingers from the stupid sharp artifical needles. I decided to wear my little winter gloves to help cut down the cuts. I got half of the tree done yesterday before work was let out. My boss has affectionately named the tree, the Charlie Brown tree. (The tree is one of those skinny trees so it can fit in small places.) I tried my best to spread it out as far as it could go. There are green, red, and white glitter bulbs on it. Then in the spaces, I put ribbons on it. The ribbons are a combination of red, green, and gold. It looks pretty. Then there is a white snow tree skirt, and a really pretty star on top. The great part is that the star is plugged into the timer on the lights for the tree, so it blinks along with the tree. It's the first tree I've ever decorated all the way completely. I'm pretty proud of it.

The purchasing agent then gave me these two huge wreathes to hang on the entrance doors. Well, there's no easy way to get them hung on the doors, so I took some yarn and tied it around the drums. We'll see if they stay put without falling down. Vinny almost hit head on the one by my office. All told, I'm finally done with all the decorating at 3pm today. My knees are killing me from up and down on the chairs so I could reach things.

Last night at OB was fun. The whole night I was busy and did over $400 in sales. I had two deliveries to the new Springhill hotel. I even had to make a special trip up to the Residence Inn. Nice hotel, though it's way too fancy for me. The only thing I didn't like was at 8:30pm, the manager cut the roller. Supposedly because she had to be home by a specific time. Great, except I was still running around and couldn't do any silverware. I didn't touch silverware until 10:45pm, and didn't get out of OB until midnight. I was not the happiest of people last night, well except for my awesome tips.
