This was definitely one of the better Halloweens I've had in a long time. Work was boring as no one dressed up or even decorated at the office. No big deal because I wasn't in the mood to either.
After work I rushed home to take a fast shower and get dressed in my gown. I headed to Mom's house to help hand out candy to all the little kids. The teenagers were definitely trying to get on my nerves. Some of them didn't even have on costumes, just a hoodie and jeans. My rule if I ever get an apartment or house that has a front door, no candy unless you are dressed up. I don't care how old you are, just make sure you are costumed. I have no issue with age because I trick o treated until I was 18. Of course, being short in stature only helps to fool people that you are young. Also it seemed last night that even though it was warm, outside my mother's neighborhood not many houses had their front porch lights on so kids treat. Hmm... We had a ton of little kids come out. Mom went through almost 8 bags of candy. I saw the typical witches, vampires, disco girls, as well as some scream guys, freddy krugers, and hanna montanas. Lots of little girls were princesses and fairies too. Decent costumes all around. I also remember a time when the older kids would run to each house. Now they just stroll with these little plastic bags. Umm, who is fooling who here. I went around with the biggest pillow case I could find, and we ran so we could go to as many houses as we could. It was a marathon.
Kyan and Callum came over all dressed up. Kyan kept spinning around trying to flare out her Princess dress. She got to pick out all the candy she wanted. I showed her my dress and she told me it was pretty and scary. But more pretty. Callum was all smiles and giggles in his pig costume. He kept snuggling up to Rick's cheek. It was cute. I left around 7:45pm as the kids started to dwindle down. Not to mention, the wind had picked up and the temperature dropped a bit. It was a neat effect being able to see across the street since the sun had not set until around 6:30pm, and hours were 6-8pm.
Afterwards, I went to my apartment and relaxed. I was finally able to watch WWE Raw from Monday night. I had wanted to watch House and Heroes, but alas 9:20pm came around very fast. Annie and I had a date with our respective runes and tarot cards. It's a tradition we started either last Halloween or the one before. We read for each other. Considering I don't do very well reading for myself, she's one of the only ones I let read for me. And because she uses Runes which I know nothing about, I'm less biased. Because let's face it, you read me with tarot cards and I see what you drew for me, I'm going to also put my own intreprations on it. My reading centered around change. Point of interest that I remember off the top of my head: Patience, strong willed, clear-headed, think logical, and distance in a relationship. I saved the reading on my home computer, so I don't have access to it here. But I remember thinking, well it's about time that change is going to happen, whether good or bad. I'm sick of doing the same things over and over again.
I hope Annie got some good points out of her reading with me. Last year she told me there were alot of Be wary of this and that, and I don't think happened alot this year. I don't remember much with her reading, which is starting to be the case now with almost everyone I read. Also, I used to favor the online reading where I could type out what I was seeing and getting. Now, I'm starting to favor the personal reading where I'm sitting in front of the person. Doesn't mean that I'm going to stop doing online readings, because every once and awhile there are just some people you can't read in person because of the distance issue.
