So apparently Michelle Borth, the actress who plays Catherine on H5O, is involved in some sort of twitter war with people who may or may not be fans of hers or the show. Not that I care. I'm not on twitter and don't intend ever to go there. (I did, however, recently sign up for tumblr, because it's the best place ever - you stalk some people and

I haven't no. It's hard to tell on the internet what's true and what's not, so I'm judging purely on what I've seen from Michelle Borth herself. As a person, she may very well be justified in her reaction - god knows I wouldn't want to have to deal with fans of the trollish variety.

But as an actor and as a star of a show as big as H50, her reaction, as understandably as it may be, is just plain stupid. You do NOT go out in public telling people to "suggit". You do NOT insult other fandoms/shows by telling people to go watch something else that she ddoesn't care about. And you really do not go out LOOKING for people saying bad things about you and then dropping in on their twitter conversations and telling them to basically go to hell. And you do not point out said people in public and tell everyone else to stop talking to them becauase otherwise she will HATE you, too.

that kind of behaviour, no matter what the other party did, is really rather silly for a "normal" human being (as in, everyone over the kindergarden age). For a public figure, it's just stupid.

So she can't take it anymore and she flips one day? That's human. If she were smart, sh'd delete the respective comments, issue an apology to her normal fans and some smart statement about the others. That's what any publicity person would make her do. But she seems to jsut keep on digging, and yes, I don't need to know what the others did to call her stupid for that.

That's be as if she were to drop in on this post to tell me to "suggit", which would be laughable (if somehow understandable, since technically I am talking badly about her "behind her back",), but publicity.wise it would be just. stupid.

You do not get to use twitter to interact with fans while at the same time calling it a "private" account. That's not how being a public figure works.

(I really wouldn't mind this at all if it didn't influence my thoughts about her so much. It's like with Jason Dohring, who I really liked, until I found out that he is a Scientologist. Wham, instant lack of ability to ever take him serious again as anything. And I LIKED Catherine. I don't actually want her written off the show for something stupid like that)
