Nov 19, 2004 12:39

I will be out of my office this weekend. If there is a matter in need of my urgent attention, please post an owl, and I will address it as soon as possible. I will also be checking the journals if you wish to leave a comment that way. I will be back in my office on Monday ( Read more... )

The staff has discussed the matter of the 'war' Joseph Castro and other members of Gryffindor House proclaimed on Slytherin House, and their detention will be determined in a trial by peerage.

I REFUSE to have my fate determined by my peers, due to the unfair bias that the attention that my battle has drawn. Should it please the staff, I request a tribunal at the hands of the executive staff.

Good for Pansy that she's using your favor of Slytherin to get bonus points. You'll never see such groveling from me.

The matter is not in your hands, Mr. Castro, and has already been arbitrarily decided by said staff. That is the decision of the entire staff body. You would not be having this conversation with the Headmaster. As his mouthpiece in this matter, it is your duty to extend to me the same respect, or you are directly insubordinant to Headmaster Dumbledore's wishes.

Your bigotry is blinding you to the fact in order for any sort of cohesion to form and for there to be any sort of healing after the traumatic losses this school has suffered, there must be an extension of the figurative olive branch. If you cannot curtail your fierce anti-Slytherin sentiments, I would suggest you turn your laptop off, gather your things, and leave the school, as your opinions are neither welcome nor desired in this scenario.

Well, if you're the mouthpiece, then please tell the staff this: I won't be present at a tribunal of my fellow students, as it is biased and unfair. But do thank the staff for having the courtesy of considering my tourture even more...maybe next, they can send me to Azkaban for looking at a Slytherin cross-eyed. And if that is being "insubordinant," then the next trial I expect to have is a court marshal.

Gathering my things and leaving was definately an option that I considered. Even the fires of Hell would be a nice relief from people like you.

Your protests are duly noted and are not at all a deterrent to the headmaster's plans, Mr. Castro, as we have one auror on staff and will shortly have two, and I believe they are more than adequet to the task of removing a sulky child from his dormatory at the appopriate time. Trial by peerage has been, historically, the most judicially fair way of doing business; need I point you to Britain's fine medieval history for examples? Do you know what the Magna Charta is, or the history surrounding it's writing? Yours and other punishments will be decided by members of each house. I need not remark about your pathetic attempt at humor, as you are, I am certain, in spite of your ineptitude, aware that declaring a personal war against an entire house and invading their common rooms with dangerous explosives with little provocation is worth serious punishment.

LITTLE PROVOCATION?!! Where the hell have you been this entire time? Oh, that's right, molesting the kids of Slytherin house. No wonder you've turned a blind eye to their transgressions...

With all due respect, you are an arse, sir. Let the aurors do whatever the hell they want. But I won't leave this room until you have a notice of eviction for me. Or a discharge. Or both. Until then, you can go back to Hell, Lucifer I fail to see that we have anything to talk about. I won't be at any trial by my peers, for they are not superior to me.

Respect, Castro? I think someone ought to teach you a thing or two about respect. Certainly your Muggle parents didn't.

Don't you dare call my Head of House anything other than "Professor" again.

Here's a shovel -- start digging your grave. I'll be around to fill it soon enough.

Mister's Castro and Warrington.

Might I suggest you cease this bickering immediately. Unless, of course, you want to help Mister Filch scrub the second floor girls lavatory.
