Artist Notes: Song on the Breeze, aka Reezy, is a character in my AU fanfic. He traveled south from the Northlands to Endiness to be with his cousin Niira.
Because LoD doesn't have the Christmas holiday, I chose to do something inspired by music, because I looooove Christmas music, especially of the Renaissance and Medieval kind. The piece I listened to for this drawing was 'Carol of the Birds', specifically, the version by Chip Davis of Mannheim Steamroller fame. The song goes by another name, 'Whence Comes This Rush of Wings Afar?'
So here's Reezy, sitting on a wall in the upper levels of Indels Castle in Bale, playing an instrument that's sort of a cross between a crumhorn and a recorder. For the record, it's hard to draw people (or cats) playing instruments.
I know the lineart looks a bit cruddy. I had to use my camera instead of a scanner.
