Hello!
I am Back from Skye. The Isle of Skye was very beautiful. In fact the train trip there was a highlight in itself, and the sun shone for most of the time I was there. And that is a very lucky thing in Scotland. The first night I spent in a hostel on the island after a day of exploring. It was very windy and scary, so I decided to go back to the mainland the second day. I missed the bus back to the mainland because I wasstanding t the wrong stop. The mainland was only 9 miles away, but the bus only comes to th town I was in twice a day, so I decided to walk. It took foreve but it was very pleasant, which I realized about an hour through when I had finally stopped steaming. I got to the mainland, dropped my stuff at a hostel and decided to go horse trekking in the mountains. It was a brilliant day! The mountains in the west are very dramatic and twisty and stuff, and the sun was perfect, so we rode through the valley and down to the beach where the little Highland ponies tramped right trough the water. They are incredibly wide creatures, so my thighs were very sore afterwards, but it was worth it. That night, it being a weeknight and low season, I had the entire hostel to myself. That's 4 bathrooms, a kitchen, a lounge room and god knows how many bedrooms. I loved it, until about 8 at night when I got lonely and bored and decided to go to the pub next door. The next morning I woke up to find the sky had exploded. It was pissing rain and the cat and dog population was blowing down the street ,so I figured it was time to go home to the chickens. They missed me.
