Historic counties of England textless icons
Several weeks ago I posted a set of Scotland bases and mentioned that I'd try to do England soon. Since I only visited the north of England, I thought to branch out a bit, and as a result ended up at the website of The Association of British Counties. If you're into British history at all, it makes for some interesting reading. I should mention that I took liberty with the historic name of Cumberland, using Cumbria instead, because that's how I think of it, and added Isle of Wight to even things out, and because it's a lovely place.

There are a few, however, that were made available under the Creative Commons attribution license, in which the photographer asks for credit when used: C.
