NTlive was re-showing the Cumberbatch/Miller Frankenstein a while ago so I went to see the one with Jonny Lee Miller as The Creature. LOVED it. Wonderful script and amazing acting. I hadn't realised Jonny Lee Miller had such range, really great to watch. Really looking forward to hunting down and watching the alternate version at some point.
I forgot to watch the new ep of Sherlock on the day, was reading reviews the day after and was v. v. excited to hear about a Moriarty/Sherlock kiss and caught up soon after, sadly that was a bit too much set-up, not enough payoff. Found the rest of it a satisfying romp, enjoyed how they offered two ridiculous explanations and one plausible one and then left the door wide open. I always love the music. And the tube. Especially the District Line which is da bomb. (Ahahaha I didn't even realise the joke until after I wrote it down.) I also like Mary and her haircut.
Conspicuous product advertising in the form of showing the label on Sherlock's Belstaff coat. I offered to buy M one, since he has the physique for it, but he refuses to wear it if I buy it. What's the point of marrying a tall slim man if he refuses to wear awesome coats for your benefit, I ask. Such a waste.
I have the perfect vidsong for John/Sherlock. Sadly, I was actually looking for a vidsong for Moriarty/Sherlock and can't bring myself to care enough about John/Sherlock to vid them. Oh please reunite Andrew Scott and Cumberbatch onstage soon.
I loved this! Quiet and gripping and competent. Natalie Dormer and Jonny Lee Miller play off each other so well. Is she faking the empathy at the end, or is at least some of it real? Pulled on my heartstrings. Much shipping. So glad she's back.
