I feel like I'm perpetually falling behind lately. A quick update as to whereabouts.
I had a fun - if completely gluttonous - long weekend with my sister. We stayed in a hotel and boozed it up, eating nothing but junk the entire weekend. Well, I boozed it up. Being 13 she very responsibly stuck to lemonade. And now she's gone home and I feel sad and crappy from both her leaving and my being horrible health-wise all weekend. Definitely no more boozing in the near future. I'm getting too old for this shit.
The Armageddon expo (comic/anime/sci-fi con) was on this weekend, and I entered
What I've Done at the AMV contest. It got second overall, which was pretty good considering the winning entry obviously took a lot longer to do and had fancy lip synching. As a prize I got to pick 4 anime or Asian cinema DVDs from the Madman store, and I got
-
Rashomon - meant to see for long time;
-
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance - sold when I saw "director of Oldboy";
-
Volcano High - sold when I saw the blurb "this is a school for the most supernaturally gifted students of martial arts", bwahaha; and
-
L Change the World, because the cover was pretty.
Haven't watched any of them yet.
I have my final exam for my logic paper next week so this weekend will be spent studying. But not very hard, because all I need is to pass and get my BA, so I can't be arsed learning any more than I need to pass, which I think is not a lot. Hopefully.
I have a ton of vid feedback (not to mention much belated replies to lovely feedback - shame) to catch up on, most of them dating back to VVC. Luckily, I am being a guinea pig in a university nutrition study scheduled for the next four Saturdays, which basically entails being fed occasionally while I lounge around a secluded house with my laptop, so I hope to use that time to catch up on watching vids and writing feedback. Also writing up recs, once more mostly dating back to VVC. Much shame indeed.
A few vids in various stages of progress, including Nip/Tuck and Narnia. I just had an idea this morning for an Atonement movie vid and am a tiny bit excited, but need to examine the idea in further detail before I commit.
Fic-wise, still trying to storyboard 510. I've sort of written myself into a corner and am trying to figure out how to bring everything full circle in the series finale. So far I got nothin'.
