little bit of an entry...
Ooohh, okay. So I, in an extremely egotistical gesture, googled myself. I normally find like "Shin He Ren Hi Long" sort of Chinese stuffs, and it amuses me. But today, the second thing to come up was THIS, and in the little description google shows you, it said WHERE I was from, like my AGE and my COUNTY and my NAME and where I go to college. And I was like, I'm all for sharing, but I should probably at least make it a little hard for people trying to find me, ya know? So this entry is to push said "revealing" entry from my front page.
My brother left. He's technically in a wedding in Philly right now (shit shit I said Philly!) but after that he's leaving straight for Georgia. I don't think it's entirely sunk in yet. I mean, I guess I'll see him at Christmas, and maybe at Irish Weekend in September. I don't know. I don't really feel like talking about it right now.
I don't have a job still. I'm going to see if my dad can get me a job at this diner that everyone in his family's worked at when they were kids. It's full of old people, which would suck, but SO MANY people go there, so hopefully I'd make some decent tips.
Basically, I am spending my days being a big ol' RDJ-obsessed lump. I finally downloaded (I MEAN RIGHTFULLY PURCHASED) Back to School so I've been replaying the little cute parts where RDJ (back when he had imperfect teeth!) is being all giggly and adorable and doing super goofy things. If you haven't ever seen this flick, I recommend it for his performance alone. Also, it's Rodney Dangerfield being awesome. Anyway, I've been reading a lot of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man fanfic. (Seperately, that is. But it'd be pretty kickass for a spiffy little crossover!) I actually signed up for two fanfic prompts at the KKBB LJ community, which is something that I rarely do. I don't know how good it will come out, but I figured, fuck why not, right? After I watched Back to School (for the zillionth time) I did a bit of internet searching for some Derek/Jason slash. Derek is RDJ and Jason is Rodney Dangerfield's kid in the flick. They are pretty much begging for a little slashability. But sadly, no dice. I'm thinking I might need to rectify this situation. I mean like, Rule 35, right?* I even found a good BtS crack pairing! When I was capping the flick, I found Dangerfield's driver and RDJ in some adorably compromising positions. HOORAY FOR CRACK.
Speaking of crack, really, my dad likes to walk around going "CRACK IS WHACK" because he's like, just seen that Whitney Houston interview. I love when he gets things real late, like last year when he fell in love with Napoleon Dynamite, and kept running around the house yelling, "WHATEVER I FEEL LIKE, GOSH!" He will keep me from going insane when my mother gets vicious and/or clingy. She's been saying some borderline horrible things about my brother's girlfriend because she resents her for 'taking him away' and junk. She fell asleep while dad and I watched The Golden Compass. We giggled on the couch yelling 'ICE BEARS' and 'SHE'S A WITCH' in silly British accents. And when we turned it off, Hot Fuzz was on HBO so we watched a bit of that.
I've been doing a lot of screencaps and making some icons. But you know how I roll, you'll see 'em in batches. I have a lot of RDJ movies to watch. Le sigh. I am still not unpacked. I am a useless lump of awesome. I just finished being sick for a few days. That wasn't fun. Mmmmm, I should get some RDJ icons uploaded to this shit. I've saved like 80 million already from various sources. HE IS THE SEX WHAT CAN I SAY?
OOH I FORGOT. I am seeing REM AND MODEST MOUSE next Friday in CONNECTICUT with the BRITT who I LOVE AND MISS LIKE WHOA. It will be very exciting. and then the FRIDAY AFTER THAT I will be going to see THE CURE and if they do not play Friday I'm In Love I'll beat them. They will play it. IT WILL BE A FRIDAY GET IT. I think my dad is coming with me, because um, no one else I know expressed an interest because they are dicks. I just want to be in the same room as Robert Smith before I die. I don't think that's too much to ask.
***Rule 34 is: If something exists, there is porn of it on the interent. And I believe that Rule 35 is: If there is not porn of it, then it is YOUR JOB to create it. Am I right? Or is it like, 34a addendum class 7 or something?
