I haven't posted in over a month and haven't even signed in in over a week. That's a problem. A big, mother fucking problem. Sheesh. I'm definitely going to have to cut for all the updating I'm about to do.
What has been going on with me? It's been insane since last month with the start of Kaden's two birthday parties. Both went off very well and after all the planning and stressing and everything that goes with it, I was very happy with the outcome. Every weekend since then we've had birthday parties or bridal shower party or getting ready for the upcoming baby shower for my sister (which I'll get to in just a minute...)
Kaden is a little stud muffin. There's just no other way around it. All the little girls love him. His latest girlfriend at school, A, is just the sweetest little girl. That's the one where I see her and her dad almost every morning. He's a very nice guy and when they came to Kaden's party, his wife was just as nice. We went to their daughters b-day party too. B and A's dad get along really well too so hopefully we've made some adult friends to do things with. Even yesterday, when I dropped Kaden off at school, A asked if she could come to our house. She's so sweet. Then there is another mom who stopped me yesterday to tell me that her daughter talks about Kaden day in and day out. And that if Kaden is sad at school, she comes home and is real snuggly with her mom because Kaden was sad. LOL Add them to his normal girlfriends (the neighbors girls and our other friends daughter) and Kaden is totally a ladies man. LOL
Work has been really busy lately. I would love to get some part time help but I know T won't do it right now. There is just too much paperwork for me to handle everything and it's getting a little frustrating. *shrugs*
I've recently been in contact with some old friends from Jersey and it's been so much fun. One girl I had been actively looking for for years now and she just sort of fell in my lap one day when another mutual friend said she saw her on Facebook. So I immediately signed up and from there I found about 5 more people that I've known since either grade school or middle school. I've enjoyed catching up with them and even had one of greatest shockers. My friend married her neighbor who I also used to be very good friends with. The two of them were always more like brother and sister and it blew me away to find out they were married with 3 kids. It's like a Nora Roberts story or something....falling in love with the childhood friend, boy next door. So adorable.
And speaking of reading, a few books had recently come out that tied me to my patio for nights on end. I'm just not getting a bit of a break but MY GOD - there was Ash! Ash had a book! Ash fell in love! I still can't get over it! A new Nora, a new Troubleshooter, and I've been in book heaven!
We have finally started doing my guest bathroom. It's all been ripped out except the shower, which is having the Bath Fitter installed over it, and the toilet bowl. So I had to get a new vanity, cabinet, mirror, and lighting (which I haven't picked that one out yet) It's been a little crazy because while I picked the bath fitter, I couldn't call for an installation until I figured out what I was going to do with the rest of the bathroom and put the tile down. So I picked the vanity but since it was special order, I couldn't really tell what color it was (it said antique white because it was supposed to have this rustic, beachy look to it) and then I couldn't pick a tile or vanity top to match. So finally, it came in last night but it isn't quite the color I had expected. Still, not a big deal, and I'm in the process of picking the tile. BUT...I called 2 weeks ago to order the bath fitter and they said it would take 3-4 weeks since it's custom made. That's what I figured would be good enough time for me to get the rest of the shit done. Well, they called me last week, only one week later, to tell me it was ready for install. Again, can't install unless the floor tile is done and I haven't even picked that yet. My other issue is, I NEVER expected to go with anything other than white in the bathroom. But when I saw this vanity online, I loved it for it's weathered look. Now I've got it, and it's more a beige, not so much that it looks like beach wood. While I still love it, the top and tile I've picked are more of the sandy-beige family of colors. And my brand spanking new shower...bright fucking white! Last night I tossed and turned in my bed for an hour stressing over this. I almost want to take the vanity and stuff back because I think it might look a bit ridiculous against the white shower but I fucking love that vanity. I think I'm obsessing over it too much and my sister thought it wouldn't be such a big deal. I'm still waiting to hear from interior decorator (AKA - Mom) to call me so I can tell her what's going on but she has her hands full at the moment (see below about my new nephew)
Ahhhh! I know, I'm being overly stupid, I think. Here's what they look like:
I think that about covers me for the last month...
As I mentioned above, we have been planning my sisters baby shower which is this upcoming Saturday. Her due date was the end of October and I got a call last Thursday at 415am telling me that Baby Anthony was born. Since he's over 2 months early, they have him in the NICU but he's doing really great. He was 3lbs 3ozs, 14 1/2 inches.
Here's how it went....my sister thought her water broke around 2am and she called our parents to come pick her up to take her to the hospital. (My sister is having this baby alone so there is no daddy in the picture) My parents urge her to call 911 but she says she's feeling okay and for them to just come get her. Well, they did and by the time they got to the hospital, she was bleeding and her freaking umbilical cord was exposed....which means blood and oxygen flow to the baby aren't fading out. Needless to say, immediate C-section and out comes Baby Anthony. My parents called us 15 minutes after he was born because it was crazy in the ER when they got there and me and my sisters immediately all got out of bed and went up there.
I was able to bring Kaden into NICU and he was so sweet. He asked me on the drive over that first night, "Mommy, does the baby love me?" Awwww! He's going to be such a great older cousin!
Is it fucking fall season yet for TV? Not that I don't have enough shit to keep me busy but seriously, I want my shows back. I have been watching a bit of the Olympics. Not all of them but catching them in glimpses at night. I've been enjoying watching Michael Phelps on his way to making history. He's a freaking fish. SYTYCD this season wasn't it's best, in my opinion. There were a few routines thoughout that I absolutely adore though. And I LOVED Mark. And Gev. Oh well. I am sure there are some TV points I'm missing but I just can't seem to think of them right now and this post is getting way out of hand as it is.
If you read all that, you're a little crazy!
