Age/Gender/Where you are currently based: 20/ Female/ Leicester, UK

Sexual Orientation (optional, it is a nosey question): Straight, but I think boobs are wonderful things.
Occupation: Student, but don't judge me for it, I worked full time for two years and I realise how stupidly easy my life is.
What's your journal about? What are you about?: I'm an appealing person. My journal is an account of my life, except it isn't very realistic because I've turned it into a cartoon where everyone is either "freaking awesome" or "a massive douchebag". I also break up the real life stuff by writing about films, books, music and television. I'm all about sandwiches and cardigans.
What kind of things inspire you to violence or bore you senseless?
I don't particularly like fandom talk. I'm nearly 21 now, I'm way over that. I've been through the whole fandom thing and the mentality scares the shit out of me. I still lurk the Manics fandom, but that's about it. Not a fan of excessive "I'm really mad at my boyfriend" talk, either. Stfu and dump him.
Interests
Books: I'm an English student so this is endless. My favourite books are American Psycho, Jane Eyre and The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Make of that what you will. I know it isn't books but Shakespeare's Hamlet is my favourite thing in the world.
Films: I love 80's films, when films for kids were made for kids and not their bored parents, and films for teenagers were genuinely warm and appealing and funny and clever. Ferris Bueller, The Goonies, Raiders, E.T., Better Off Dead etc. I also really like Charlie Kaufman and Paul Thomas Anderson films. There Will Be Blood is my favourite.
Television: THE WIRE, The Adam and Joe show, flight of the Conchords, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Futurama, Curb, Firefly, Spaced, Mad Men and UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE.
Music: My favourite four: Manic Street Preachers, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys. I'm a bit stuck in the 90's with my music, but I listen to a vast amount, all the genres, look, just have my last.fm!

Fandoms, if you have them? I covered this above, but yes I lurk the Manics fandom, I am also an incredibly shameful lurker in the My Chemical Romance fandom. I have no idea why it fascinates me so much, I KNOW the music is terrible, but I always stick around.
Any other hobbies you'd like to tell us about? I play guitar and one day I want to play in a Riot Grrrl band.
Misc.
What do you want to be when you 'grow up?' An academic. I just want to stay in university and collect knowledge and write papers and teach the odd lecture on Hamlet and just generally be a literature badass. I will end up in a shop.
What three things could you possibly not live without? My friends, music and nutella.
What kind of friends do you want adding you? People with taste, people who are friendly and people who write in capital letters a lot.
