I want to be in better shape.
I'm lazy
I find exercise *really* boring
One can knock out 10 pushups pretty quickly.
The best exercise plan I've ever scene is a job with manual labor, ie consistent exercise throughout the day.
I can easily find several "pretty quick" moments through out the day.
And so I've been trying to build up to doing 10 pushups, 10 times a day.
This is my 3rd week at it.
Most days I do 4 sets, the most I've done so far is 6.
I do most of my sets at work, and it's pretty easy there because I'm regularly:
Looking at the clock
getting up from my desk
bored.
So it's easy for me to think "Has it been an hour since I've done a set?" and then close my door and do 10 quick if I haven't and am up for it.
It just doesn't happen on the weekends, I don't look at the clock nearly enough.
As the habit gets more ingrained I think I'll be able to push it more readily to 10. Right now the hurdle is thinking to do it often enough. One day I started out eager to do 6 or 7 sets, so I did sets at 10,11,12,1.... and no more. I wasn't tired I just got busy or forgot.
