I installed Rockbox on my iriver. After some fighting with why it wouldn't load properly, I discovered it was something amazingly simple. That's usually how it goes, though. The easier the solution, the more difficult means I try to fix it.
It's pretty nice, but I'm not sure if I really need all the extra stuff it comes with. But I DO like having themes to swap between.
I can also watch video on it now, as well! It's not fantastic quality and I have to do a song and dance to format things properly, but the fact that I CAN is really all I need.
I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I don't need to use Winamp to transfer files anymore, though. But I get album artwork now!
Ups and downs. I'll play with it and see how well I like it.
FFF! Another up: I can make playlists. I'm not restricted to the TWO that iriver's firmware had. :D :D It also doesn't seem to lag like the other firmware did AND it tells me what it's going to play next. :D :D :D
