It's New Year's Eve. I almost started that sentence with 'so', but I stopped myself because I do that ALL the time. What's with that? It's weird. Anyhow, I guess today is usually the day I do that crazy yearly recap.
This year wasn't too bad, aside from the last two months in regards to our financial situation. Tony got back into school at the beginning of the year, I continued to bring my grade point up from that abysmal 0.0 GPA that I acquired the first two semester. Things have been pretty good overall.
As for resolutions? I don't know yet.
I spent Christmas Eve here at home with Tony and we opened gifts. I got him Skylanders and an extra figure, some new boxers (one with mobile campers, one with moustaches), a disappearing dinosaur mug, and some Playmobile knights with wolves.
For my mom, I got a coffee mug and lots of tea and hot cocoa, a nice little necklace and earring set, and some peppermint bark. I got Bud a beer mug with playing cards and snack mix.
I got:
From my mom! the traction sucks on them, but they're so cute I can deal with it. They'll be great on snow, not so much on ice. My calves are so muscular from riding over the summer, that they're REALLY hard to zip, so I need to break them in.
A fox purse from Target that Tony got for me. I'd seen it earlier in the day, but couldn't justify spending $25 on myself. Apparently, he could.
This is my new favorite hat. Seriously. It's super tall and people seem to find it intimidating because everyone's face falls when they look at me and I'm wearing it.
This one's from my mom and a little more low key than the demon horns or my moose hat, but equally warm!
...and, Hello Kitty Dry-Erase Wall Calendar, Hello Kitty Pajama Pants, Hello Kitty Stickerland Activity Pack,
a bunch of frou-frou bath stuff, cute christmas socks. All from my mom. She knows how to shop for me.
I spent Christmas Day at my mom's and it was shockingly pleasant. No drama (aside from my youngest sister being a twat and messaging my mom on Facebook with the typical MERRY CHRISTMAS BUT DON'T THINK THIS IS AN INVITE BACK INTO MY LIFE bullshit), good food, and gifts all around. I got to see my mom's new place, too, which is really nice and will be amazingly moreso when they get it fixed up.
Finally, here's a terrible photo of me with a classy fly strip in the background:
