Okay, so, a little help from my more tech-savvy f-list would be effing awesome.

I have a home network set up. I've never encountered this issue that's currently happening before. I have two PCs on the connection and one wired laptop (always wired while at home) and the XBox 360 (which is normally off and really only used to watch videos with). We generally have no issues with lag (aside form Time Warner just being a tard) with this setup. The one PC is running Windows XP, the other two have Windows Vista.

Enter Angie's laptop. She's running Windows 7. It's a new laptop, bought within the last three months.

When we connect Angie's laptop (wireless OR wired) to our network, our internet all but drops out on us. MASSIVE lag, websites regularly timing out, etcera.

Her computer is clean of any viruses or malware that might be pulling on the connection. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why, when she connects her laptop, the internet connection goes to hell.

She doesn't have this problem on campus or using the wifi at her work, but she has the problem at our house and on her home connection.

Any ideas?
