Paige walked around in the library and stopped when she heard a familiar voice and looked to Wayne. She walked over and attempted to smile because she still has been hurting since the night of the break up between her and Zach.

"Wayne?" Her eyes seemed to water and she felt a little hesitant to approach him. "Do you need help?" She wondered if help him with something because he seemed frustrated.

Wayne looked up at Paige, a little startled as he thought he had been there alone. "Er, no, not really. Unless you can make these useless things do my work for me." he said, grinning.

She bit her lower lip as she looked down to him. Her eyes watered and she tried hide to her sadness over the breakup it was only thing on her selfish mind. She did not want to be selfish but she could not help herself.

"Useless things do your work for you? I'm sure there’s some kind of spell." She teased him and then sat down in front of him.

"I'm sure the professors would see to it no one here learned that one." he groaned, looking at the sheer volume of work he had to do underneath his feet. "What have you been up to?" he asked politely. She looked like she was going to burst into tears at any moment, so he thought he'd ask a safe question. The last thing he needed was a distraught girl in the middle of the library. He didn't really know how to deal with that. His was of comforting was jokes, and somehow he didn't think she'd appreciate cracks about her relationships right now.

Mery strolled down the library aisles, whistling something half-heartedly cheerful as quietly as one could whistle in a library lead by a silence-loving tyrant, when she caught a flash of something blond and moppy-haired from the corner of her eye. When she saw who was with the hair, Mery grinned broadly.

"Wotcher, mates!" she said with a lively wave as she approached the pair.

Wayne turned his attention from Paige to Mery with a grin. He knew she'd back him up on this. "I was just discussing with Paige the propper amount of time that needs to pass before you're on the rebound." he said nodding.

Paige turned to see Mer approaching and she smiled nervously to her. "Hey." She rested her hands on her lap as she sat on floor in front of Wayne. She thought it indeed took a little time before moving on.

Mery's grin faltered and she blinked, a little surprised from the topic Wayne threw at her. "Oh," she said lightly, then looked at Paige with a raised eyebrow. She smiled kindly. "I don't know about all that. No need to rush into things, right?"

She plopped into a sitting potsition just in front of the two and she went on enthusiastically. "I'm happy I found you, actually," she said to Paige. "I think I found something you might like. I overheard someone talking about a party in the harbor this Saturday," she said with a grin at Wayne.
