[Zelda's in her room today. She's had a few days to think about everything, to reflect, to be fond of past memories, to look forward to future ones.]
...Where to begin?
I suppose... the origin is a good place...
For her, I must do all that I can.

I know, which is precisely why I need your help. From your conversations over the comms, I assume that you are... close friends. Enough so that he might listen to what you have to say. I will try also, but I worry so often for him that he probably thinks I'm just nagging.
I'm sorry, I know I'm not making much sense. I'll try to make this as clear as possible.
Before the Baron arrived here, Erol told me much about him, and about his home. I believed that he was an honourable, fair man, and to an extent that might be true... but Erol is so loyal that he would allow the man to dole out any form of punishment and consider it fair.
When we had the babies, I saw Erol for the first time in quite a few days, and his injuries... they reminded me of something else - for the sake of privacy, I daren't go into it, but I will say the whole affair was quite horrendous. To think that the Baron, a man he revered, had done that! It was shocking.
I... I can't bear to see him injured, for any reason. I can think of only two ways of making sure he isn't hurt by the Baron again. One: he ends his service to him. Clearly this will never happen, seeing how loyal he is, and Erol has told me what the Krimzon Guard does to those who turn their back on it. The other option is to convince the Baron to... well, I suppose we can't hope to stop him ever punishing Erol again, but we could try to convince him to make those punishments less... violent.
I know you have no reason to help me, but... will you help Erol? Please? I don't know who else to ask. Even my own friends can't see him as anything but evil, and for the life of me I can't convince them otherwise.

She thinks over Christine's words carefully. Zelda lives very strictly under the condition that she does not influence the way of life of other people. She constantly reminds herself that those aboard are not all her people, and therefore, she cannot always act in their best interests for them, or whatever she may think is within their best interests.
Helping people, however... In any way that she can. She has always believed she has done precisely that for Erol, or for anyone else. After all, it is how she would like to be treated in return.]
It is not possible to change the perspectives of other people without affecting free will. We are not as gods and we do not have this right. We must be patient and understanding, even with those of whom we do not agree.
You are correct. Sir Erol is... a dedicated man. That dedication should not be crushed. It is difficult, where I come from, to find people who would go to the lengths that he does. In consequence, it is helpful to understand his position as well. He and I once spoke of this, and he made it very clear to me, that there are parts of him that would cease to be him, if he were to change in the slightest--be it his loyalty, or any other particular trait.
Certainly Baron Praxis is this same way. The actions taken by either I may not condone of, but to tell them they cannot act in a certain way... It is not my place. I am only seeing from the outside, and perhaps you are as well. Your perspective may be quite a bit better than mine, of course, and yet to some degree, only so much can be said or done without further understanding of the situation.
[She pauses. Is this really the right thing to say? No, she shouldn't dive in too deep or a good gaggle of people will grow concerned. But she... may be able to do something about lightening Erol's punishments.]
For him, and for you, I will attempt my very best, though I cannot say how fruitful my attempts shall be.

Thank you. I can't tell you how grateful I am for your help. I know I'm asking a lot of you, and I realise that we may not have the right to tell the Baron how to treat his subjects, but... when a man acts in such a way as he, it is surely not right.

Yes. Zelda would do absolutely anything and everything.]
As I have said, I will do everything within my ability. Diplomacy does not work on all people, however, and therefore, I may not be successful.
[After all, Zelda needs to look out for her own hide. If it gets too dangerous, she'll have to pull back--perhaps not for her sake, but for the people who could likely get hurt because of her and possible foolish actions.]
