[ Edgeworth has a lot of memories. He'll lock this post as soon as he sees it, but it'll be present for about two hours at most, then be locked on his journal. All links are for in-game scripts that were turning points in his life before he came to the city. Is that right. I'm sorry you had to witness it all, Mr. Nein.

[ooc; He's like orz this is kind of embarrassing. xD; ]

...? Indeed. To inquire about these personal memories could put a wall between us, and hinder our ability to work together.

Why are you apologizing on behalf of the Deities work? There is no reason to feel guilt over your memories. You hide nothing bad there, which matters the most to me.

They are memories I would indeed like to keep outside of my professional life here, Mr. Nein. While I am not ashamed of them now, I do not think they have any place here in what is happening now, though I will not blame anyone who wishes to judge me based on them after this.

If it were all that easy, I think everyone would do that. And perhaps this is punishment for those of us who like to keep our emotions and personal lives out of the City.

My opinion on you hasn't changed. If I was truly upset, I would've announced my departure from the agency and this conversation would've come to an end. The only thing to do now is move forward, and learn what we can from this type of curse.

Heh. Punishment is indeed a strange word to use for it, really.

Thank you for the understanding on the situation, Mr. Nein. I appreciate your honesty. Let us hope none of this will affect relations with the rest of the agency.

I should say that I think it's punishment for something else, but that comes from my own personal opinions.

I'm open-minded, Mr. Edgeworth. Although, I must confess, I do have some questions to ask you. I won't lie, they're personal inquiries from information I've head on the Network.

Heh, perhaps. But... information on the network? Do elaborate.

[ooc; He hasn't gone through Kristoph's entire entry just yet xD ]

There was someone talking about you and your world the other day. However, the name used was not one I'd heard before: 'Demon Prosecutor'. I must admit, that's a very dark name, especially for you.

[OOC: XD This will not well then.))

Someone...? ( But how could anyone...? It's not even in my memories here... Except that one with Wright! Unless... )

( ...Hn. I shouldn't have been surprised. )

...

That was what I was called.

You could say that at the time, it was appropriate. However, Mr. Nein... was your informant a man by the name of Kristoph Gavin, by any chance?

[ooc; Assuming Sasha would know Klavier of course, since he works with them and stuff :3 ]

...What you were called in the past matters little to me, unless it affects the present. I was just curious to find out a bit more information in regards to this unofficial title.

Yes. Stop me if I'm wrong, but is he related to Mr. Klavier Gavin? The two of them seem very different, personality wise.

[OOC: I'm going to assume that he knows him in passing, since yeah, they all work together in the same building. :3]

As the memories are clearly present, I suppose I might be able to explain a little better. The man you first see, Manfred von Karma, was my mentor, who had never lost a single case in forty years. Following in his footsteps, I was one of the younger prosecutors in court. And until the case that is mentioned by Chief of Police Damon Gant, I too, had gone with an undefeated and perfect record.

I'm sure you can imagine why that was, Mr. Nein.

[ooc; He'll get to Kris and Klav in a bit :3 ]

Mr. Kristoph was speaking some truth then, in regards to your perfect win record. However, perfection is impossible to hold onto, or even achieve for long periods of time. I should know from similar incidents form my world.

...Attrition. People wouldn't call you a demon for nothing, after all. Logically, you probably used force and rather cruel techniques to attain victory.

[OOC: That's fine with me.]
