[ Edgeworth has a lot of memories. He'll lock this post as soon as he sees it, but it'll be present for about two hours at most, then be locked on his journal. All links are for in-game scripts that were turning points in his life before he came to the city. All scripts save the last two contain spoilers, so proceed at your own risk if you want to play the Ace Attorney games! Yes, there are these many and either all can be viewed or some. Edgeworth's had a lot on his mind, so here's a chance to peek in if you're friends and interested! ]

[ locked to those edgeworth trusts, unhackable after the lock to anyone else. If you're not sure, ask if they can see them after the lock. ]

- in-city memory; the titanic curse

[ The setting: On the RMS Titanic, watching Hiiragi on a lifeboat. Klavier Gavin then turns around and smiles at Edgeworth. ] “He is indeed… still a child.”

“So was Miss Kuromi.” [ Edgeworth hand remains on the railing. Klavier blinks, watching him. ] “Ah~ You noticed too, Herr Ruffles?”

[ Edgeworth smiles. ] “I wouldn’t be a prosecutor if I didn’t.”

[ Klavier laughs and then turns to leave. ] “I am joining the ranks of those offering help.”

[ Edgeworth quickly turns, looking at him in surprise. ] “There is no time for that, Gavin! You need to get on one of the life boats now!”

“Women und children, Herr Edgeworth. There aren't enough boats for everyone.” [ Klavier interrupts him, serious about his words. Edgeworth seems to be struggling with himself, before he sighs and gives him a determined look. ] “You're not doing this alone.”

[ That makes Klavier chuckle. ] “Then you can help.” [ They both watch each other for a while, before Edgeworth speaks in a softer voice. ] “This isn't goodbye. Understood?”

[ Klavier shakes his head, smiling once more as the words sink in. ] “...nein. Just be sure to catch a boat.” [ Which of course, makes Edgeworth roll his eyes. ] “I'm certainly not going to leave my dear cousin all by himself.” [ He comments, obviously something during the curse is being brought forward at the mention of 'cousin', though he then pauses. ] “You know, your brother would be very disapproving of us attempting something like this. .. but those are human lives that will be lost if they are not aided now.” [ The grin on Klavier’s face fades a little, and he shoots Edgeworth a somewhat awkward glance. ]

”.. Kristoph has no regard for human life. I don't care what he would think.”

[ Thoughtfully, Edgeworth murmurs ]“You certainly are nothing like him.” [ To which Klavier has to smile in amusement ] “I'd never let myself get that stiff."

[ And the scene fades, as they both chuckle and then move, off to help those they mentioned they would. ]

- in-city memory; the week through emerald forest

[ He's speaking with Machi. Asking the boy if he knows anything, and then the scene shifts-- Klavier is on a hospital bed, the blue-clad dark-haired nurse talking to Edgeworth directly as she wipes her hand. Edgeworth watches her with a hint of concern in his eyes, and listens. ]

"He's unconscious, Mr. Edgeworth... But the poison has been removed." [ He nods, stepping up beside the bed. ] "You have my gratitude.."

[ She gives him a smile, tired but encouraging. ] "He's a friend as well. And I am a healer. It's my job." [ She looks over at Klavier, looking like he's sleeping death's rest and looks back at him. ] "He should be out of danger now, Mr. Edgeworth. I'll keep looking to him, so you should go home and rest..." [ But he shakes his head. ] "I'll stay here. You have other patients that need your help as well."

[ The nurse sighs, nodding. ] "Please get some rest while you can, Mr. Edgeworth." [ But he's already seated by the bed, his expression blank and elbows against his knees. Megumi realizes he might want to be left alone, and leaves after excusing herself. ]

[ The scene shifts again, Edgeworth looking over some reports, when all of a sudden, Klavier convulses in pain. In a drugged haze, he writhes, obviously in pain, and Edgeworth moves forward, grabbing him by the shoulders-- he's looking around as though to get some help but stops, keeping Klavier steady. Then, Klavier grabs onto his hand in his haze, and Edgeworth clutches it, tight, whispering something as his hand touches the younger man's forehead, looking upset, angry and worried. And then, clutching the younger man's hand in his, he rests his forehead against the back of his hand, murmuring something to himself, as the convulsions pass and Klavier breathes heavily, falling back into a still slumber. ]

[ The scene changes, Edgeworth talking to Machi, who is present with him, and as the boy turns and leaves, he seats himself back and as the nurse comes in again with some towels and water. Standing to take them from her with a nod of thanks, he takes a towel and pats Klavier's face, attending to him and making sure he's presentable. Case folders are on a spare desk next to him, as well as a laptop. The hospital room also looks well-kept and flowers are set to the sides of the bedside tables-- and he begins to set the covers around him once he's done, watching him and then settling back onto his chair, the file in his hand opened on his lap. And then, he moves a hand up, resting it over Klavier's.

And he continues to read, then, because all he can do is wait. ]

EDITED: ...I suppose it would be too much to ask for a curse like this to hit during waking hours, wouldn't it?

Hmph. A cursed entry deletion tool would be very handy right now.

[ooc; Thank you kuromi-mun for the script version of the Titanic curse x) Though the edit has been made, feel free to have characters seen the memories if they wanted to have and privately discuss 'em! And if they didn't, well enough, the disgruntled comment can be seen anyway :3 ]
