The house is becoming a lot easier to maintain, now that I've got a knack for maintaining it.

The downstairs living room has become a living room. With floors n shit. Next pay day: area rugs.

One of my roomie's brought home a sweet couch from his old apartment, which is going down there. So there will be some semblance of furnishings.

Today, I have been painting the big bedroom downstairs...its a really rich, light blue. And I started to lay down the flooring for it, but I need to get more tiles. So that will happen tomorrow. And then it will be a bedroom.

Their friend Max wants to move in in June. Max is a really nice, quiet, respectful guy. He has two cats, but Steven has a cat, too, and so far it hasn't been a big deal. The cats will stay downstairs, most likely, and so that should be okay. Remy is good with cats, and Arlo maintains a respectful distance from Steven's cat, so I think regardless it will be okay.

So...once this bedroom is done, I have to paint the small hallway, the small bedroom, and lay down flooring in those two areas. Then, drag pipes up to the downstairs 'kitchen', which will then be a laundry room. There is a gas hookup, and a drier vent going outside, as well as two places where there were pipes for laundry, and a drain that's already there going to the laundry sink.

Then there is the problem bedroom, which still needs a ceiling and wall, as well as new subfloor at this point. For that, I will hire a contractor.
And the bathroom, which I think I should also hire a contractor for, although I am semi-confident that I would be able to do it myself. But if I don't do it right, then it will be a pain in the ass to fix as opposed to just having it done right the first time. So...

But I am making this happen. And its happening. And I am doing a damn good job at it, not to toot my own horn.
