So I got a puppy.
And he is cute as get out.

And I went to a breeder to do it, which I was against for the longest time. But at this point, I no longer want The Strays of the World in my living space; I wanted a nice dog, with papers, with a predictable temperament, with a predictable breed standard.

And the lady was super nice, lived in the middle of nowhere, and her dogs were house dogs first. She had two females, and a male, but the male wasn't there because one of the females is in heat, and she didn't want to breed her right now. She breeds each of them every two years, and is a hobby breeder, not a puppy mill. She was informed, informative, and offered a guarantee.

One of her dogs is from Texas, one from Minnesota, and the male from New York, because she wanted to absolutely make sure they weren't inbred.

The mother had a really great disposition. Super smart, affectionate, all around nice dog. We could tell they were all really well taken care of.

And because she is a hobby breeder, and not in it for the money, the puppy was only $250...which is like, ridiculously cheap for a Corgi puppy.

Andy and I drove out together, and he talked me into getting the same pup from the picture. There was one other I was debating on, because I liked his markings a lot, and he was a bigger pup, but he was really bitey. This one was the calmest in the litter.

His name is Arlo.
Remy has accepted him with good graces, because Remy is really gentle.
And because my house is super chill, super quiet, no fighting or tension or anything, its the perfect atmosphere to bring a new puppy into.

Less than 24 hours later, and we're already working on sit, lay down and come. Pretty sure he's starting to get his name, too.

Corgi's are super smart, super easy to train, and can probably pass as carry on luggage for air travel.
