Title: Strangers.
Fandom: Star Wars.
Characters: Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Prompt: 25. Strangers.
Word Count: 200.
Rating: PG.
Summary: Obi-Wan confronts Anakin on Mustafar. (Let's see how many fics I can write about this. *eyeroll*)
Author's Notes: Tralala fic! Hopefully, I can start being productive, since I've finally escaped school. Silly school. I've got two fics in progress that should be nice, but they're being awfully difficult (one's been difficult since November), and I'm still searching for inspiration for some Quin hand!porn. Heh.

Obi-Wan could tell the moment he set foot on Mustafar that the Sith waiting for him wasn't his Anakin. The chilling shadow of death - death Anakin had caused - swirled in the Force like fog, along with a familiar red ripple of anger - more of a cascade - that was Anakin.

Only it wasn't Anakin. He had to remember that. Forgetting it could easily cost him his life. Not that it made any difference; he knew that only one of them would walk away from Mustafar alive.

Though he knew that Master Yoda expected it to be him, Obi-Wan couldn't help but wonder if part of him would die when he killed Anakin. He could still remember a bright young boy, eager to learn the ways of the Jedi, but easily frustrated. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't reconcile it with the Sith he had seen kneeling in front of Palpatine.

The young man who had once been a bright star in the Force was now a black hole…and that black hole was in front of him.

Obi-Wan ignited his lightsaber, letting the Force flow through him. He would do what he had to. After all, this wasn't his Anakin.
