"If you come out of a show and all you can say is 'fuck'..... then it was a good show..."

This weekend was just plain awesome... definitely one of the best weekends I've experienced in a while.

Friday: Went to work, but I only had 3 deliveries. So I went home, put on my boots, and headed out to Richmond to meet Lydia for the show. We ate pancakes at River City and headed in. The show was pretty awesome, indeed. Strike Anywhere is excellent live, I must say. And there was another group that I really liked... I think it was Government Warning. I'm not sure. I ended up less bruised than I expected.. which was good, I guess... But I had less to show. Last count: 7 assorted bruises and a scratch from someone with studded shoulders. I was punched in the side by a little hardcore kid... So I shoved him into someone else... I came out realizing that as much as like like listening to the music, there's way too much drama in hardcore. I'm serious. Aside from this whole rivalry between the punkers and the straight-edge, they're just too violent. And after shows, they're waaaaaaay to on edge. I was making a path for Lyd to get to hr stuf in the corner and this guy grabbed me, held up his fist, and started talking some shit about being courteous and how I needed to calm down. I'm sitting there thinking "I'm not the one grabbing people and shaking my fist..."

I'm gonna stick with Punk and Ska shows from now on, methinks... There always seems to be a stronger feeling of brotherhood. People are nicer. Punks always help you up when you go down in the pits.

Anyway, on to Saturday: I got the day off work, so I helped around the house. Chopped more firewood, cleaned, did laundry, etc. Then I went to Nick's house and hung out with him, Jamie, Paul, and Meagan. Then, we got into Paul's car and went to Sahara's. Jete and Stirf came, and so did Brooks and... Dan?... I think... or Allen? I forget his name... I was busy thinking of Squeagull...

ANYWAYS! SUNDAY: Twas a pretty slow day. I did a little more housework. Got a call from SarahBob. I changed and met her at the VCU commons. We ate lunch and went for a walk... and ate flowers... well, I ate flowers... they were tasty... like cabbage... And actually, that was about it. I went for a walk, went to bed, and that was it.

Today was boring... I went to school, then to work. I only had 2 deliveries, so I was home before mom. I played a little Halo, helped with dinner, ate dinner, then got online to talk to you mofos. And the rest is history!

On that note, Methinks I'll leave you now. Later days!

Come, Squeagull! Let us show the world how we dance!
