Great Weekend!~

After the new year, I had a fabulous weekend. Starting with Friday, I got to see an old friend that I have not seen in so long. I have somehow been able to keep in touch with him since middle school, which I think is amazing! I have not been able to physically see him since we both graduated High school. It has been amazing that we have kept in touch this long! We met up at Starbucks and chatted about what has been going in our lives. It was wonderful to talk about work, school, etc. It was a joy to talk to him for a short time. Unfortunately we were both busy that night, so I could not really talk to him that long. I hope that I get to see him soon! He works at Carnegie Mellon and I hope to visit Pittsburgh soon! I have been meaning to visit for a long time! While we were talking, it brought up the fact that he thinks I am a social butterfly. WHAT? I am not really a social butterfly... it was really cute that he thought I was a social butterfly!

The next day, I was invited to lunch party. It was hosted by the wife of a guy who works with my father at UCLA. Many people came to the lunch, and there was so much food. It was great food that was enjoyed by all. Most of the food was Chinese and the hostess made sure we ate all the food that we could eat. After the lunch, we all went inside to her apartment and started to play Wii. It was the first time I got the chance to play Wii! I got to meet many interesting people and I was surprised to meet one of Momo's friends who graduated from Doshisha University, which is where I studied abroad in college. Crazy world!

Later that night, I planned a Karaoke night with friends at Rosen Music Studio in Koretown. I left early, because I was not sure of the traffic on a saturday, but to my surprise, it was as empty as can be. It was crazy! I never saw the fwy's so empty that I got to the place in less than 30 minutes! By around 10 pm, everyone started to pill in and we started to sing a lot of songs. Even my professors showed up and enjoyed themselves. It was nice to see professors outside of the classroom. We sang and danced. It was a great night enjoyed by all!
