Ice skating in Santa Monica
Over this winter break, I have been busy studying for another section of the CSET, but I have also have been having fun with my friends!
One time I decided to hang out with Meghan who goes to Mount St. Marys with me and we decided to go ice skating. There is an outdoor ice skating rink outside during the winter. I have skated in a indoor ice skating rink, but an outdoor rink reminds me of a time when I lived in Chicago as a child and always skated on the lake in the winter. Before I got onto the rink, I was nervous getting on the rink since it was so long since I have been iceskating. Once I got onto the rink, I fell down! :-( It hurt a little bit, but it was actually quite funny that I fell when I first got onto the ice. Meghan and I could not stop laughing about it. After that incident, I checked my skates and then I was able to have more confidence and skate on the ice. I was not able to go that fast, but I was able skate without falling. It was a lot of fun, and I am glad that I got to iceskate with a great friend of mine!
