It's too early for dancing, but here comes the music

Much too early for this, but I need to catch the bus to Standsted in an hour. I wanted to wake up about now, but I am coming to the realization that the room above me is either populated by rabbits or is a brothel. Take your pick.

Anyways, in about an hour I will be on my way to Dublin for St. Patrick's Day. I have been looking forward to this trip for so long. Cleveland and LeMoyne have seen some crazy St. Paddy's days, but I am pretty sure they are nothing like what I am about to encounter. A little nervous about flying there by myself, but I kind of like the idea of doing something on my own, figuring it out as I go. I figured out the London Underground so now I feel like I can do anything...hehe.

And yep, I am in love. London is amazing. I have never felt to comfortable in a city, even good ol'C-town. I went there on Wednesday again with my Introduction to British Society class. The lecturer didn't really have a game plan so my friend, Brian, and I just walked around the city. We got saw so much for only being there 6 hours. Thank God for being born in the north and being conditioned to walk fast. ;) The London premiere of Basic Instincts 2 was going on, and we got to see a lot of famous British models and actors whom we had no idea who they were. Brian took a poster of Sharon Stone in a kind of suggestive pose and had to walk around the Underground and train with it. He got a lot of looks, and I laughed a lot at him. Good times...

The next week is going to be absolutely crazy. I am in Dublin till Sunday then Molls gets here on Monday. After that, may be the most chaotic time in my life, but I am really looking forward to it. Hostels are booked, plane tickets are bought, and the crazy 7 North Americans are assembled. Reading Andy's journal today made me realize once again what I am doing here. It really still hasn't hit me that I am in Europe fully. I will just get glimpses of it though like when I was sitting on some steps in Trafalgar Square on Wednesday and I could see Big Ben in the distance. I thought "oh yeah, this is amazing." I feel really privileged, I guess. It's hard to explain, like the whole world is spread out for us and I just have to make the most out of my time here and just kind of bathe in all of my experiences here. I am never going to be young and in Europe again. ;)

Alright, off to Dublin. Happy St. Patrick's Day, all!!
