(no subject)
In two days I have written 12 pages of my thesis. Which is a lot in the kind of research I'm doing. I'm proud. There's still a lot of work ahead, but I'm satisfied for now. And I'm leaving for Russia super early on Saturday morning! I just couldn't get my Russian grandma on the phone today, so I guess I'll just show up as a surprise, or if she's not home, I'll sleep in the back room of the church or at some other babushka's house.
I wish the important people who decide whether or not I'll be going to Kenya would just make the decision already! I know they told me to wait until October but I really really want to know! I want to plan! I want to get vaccinations and plane tickets and stress about packing and moving and all. And I just need to know that there will be something to do after I graduate.
