I wanted someone like me
Who wouldn't ask hard questions
Who'd share all my thoughts
Who'd share all my fears
Now all I want is to be here with you
I love you because you're not the person I dreamed of at all.
Kaye, Michi, Jaw and I saw Repertory Philippines' I Love You Because this afternoon. It was so adorable, omg. Just an all-around great time. Everyone in the cast was spectacular of course, but Caisa Borromeo (Marcy) was definitely the standout. I also have a very special love for Gabs Santos (Jeff), he sold every single line he had, was just perfectly hilarious all throughout. Great times. I loved the show, listened to the cast recording on the way home, and now I can't stop listening to the title track. It's so pretty. <3
YAY for my third show this year, whee! And it's only March. :D I'm getting another dose of blueREP's bare this Wednesday, Spelling Bee by the end of the month, then a semi-long wait for Songs For A New World in May. A truly amazing year for local theatre. :)
On a completely unrelated note: I'm very, very, very tempted to go and see
UA&P's production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. UGH. The PMHS culminating activity will end at about 2pm on March 8, and I can catch the 3pm show if I wanted to badly enough. I'm looking at maps and writing down landmarks to use when I commute and IT'S SO SO SO TEMPTING, UGH. But. First of all, I'm almost broke. :( Tickets are hypothetically affordable at Php200 (for students), but after my theatre- and moviegoing escapades in the last couple of weeks, this will drive me to literally having no more savings. And second of all, I'm not even completely sure if I can make it at 3pm. That's cutting it really close considering our Culmi's venue. Third of all, I will definitely be exhausted that day, so commuting all the way to UA&P will just make me unnecessarily pissy.
BUT. It's a show, it's right there, it's their last showdate, I've heard pretty good things about it, and they're probably not going to show this again ANYWHERE in the next ten years, if they ever will. So. DILEMMA. :|

organizers HAS CHANGED MY LIFE.
OMG, you guys. THIS COMMUNITY. Why why why did I not think of doing this all my life? I've scrolled through the last 200 or so entries there, and my favorites (
one,
two,
three) have inspired me to change the way I use my Moleskine planner. I only began yesterday, but I love it already.
I'm very slowly arming myself with the appropriate supplies (I began with buying a set of 8 Staedtler-like pens, will work on getting post-its and scrapbook-y things maybe), and I'm looking forward to channeling my non-existent creativity. :P Hopefully I can develop some skills along the way, maybe get better at lettering/doodling things that aren't words. :)

7 - PMHS culmi :D
8 - PMHS culmi continued
9 - Field trip to Pisay with my beloved batchmates <3

16-22 - A date with Nikki... somewhere there :)

Closing this entry with stuff that currently make me happy:
1.
This picspam. It's pretty old, but there can never be enough Tom Welling prettiness out there. He is the most gorgeous man on TV right now, hands down.
2. This picture from Spring Awakening's performance at Defying Inequality. So much fierceness and HILARITY. Click for original size:
3. I know this is old news, but. Oscars 2009: Hugh Jackman's Opening Number. I love literally everything about this performance. HUGH. OMG. I am IN LOVE with his belting of "I'm Wolveriiiiiiiiiiiine!!!" right at the end. SO MUCH WIN.

Because I started spreading this around, and I want it to be in my LJ too:
"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being in love which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."
