All I needed was your hand in mine.
GUYS, GREAT NEWS! :D
blueREP's production of bare has additional showdates! Whee. :D They're extending to next week: March 3-7, 2009. Again: 8PM, 3rd floor Gonzaga Hall, Ateneo de Manila University. NOW'S YOUR CHANCE! Please, please, please go see it. Come with us on Wednesday - Mael and I are seeing it again. :P
Yes, it is that awesome. Another piece of lovely news:
Songs For A New World: Restaged! May 1-10, at the RCBC Plaza, Makati City. I'M SO EXCITED. :D I missed it the first time it came around last year, and I'm so happy they're doing it again. WHEE!
That adds to my already-awesome
theatre calendar for 2009. Fun, fun times are to be had. \:D/

It's been a truly happy couple of days for me. :D HOORAY FOR THE AWESOMENESS OF THIS YEAR'S STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS!!! \:D/
I didn't think that the student body would be smart enough to do it, but we were. TITUS TAN IS THE NEWLY-ELECTED USC CHAIR!!! Wheeeee. :D I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. When I first found out from Kaye (through Plurk, of all things) last night, I let out a really loud scream that echoed through the entire house. Part of me still can't believe it happened. BUT. When Titus himself went down to the PMHS tambayan this afternoon and we all ran up to him to congratulate him, it all became so much more real. And huge LOLZ at my orgmates' reaction to him. :)) We shook his hand, hugged him (OMG I HUGGED THE NEWLY-ELECTED USC CHAIR), touched his shirt (and said things like "ohmygod, nahawakan ko yung USC Chair!"), pretended to take pictures with him, etc etc. We gave him a huge round of applause when he went inside the tambayan. :D HAHAHA we are such Titus fangirls/fanboys, can I just say.
IT'S SO AWESOME. You guyyyyyyyyyys. I'm so happy, there aren't any words for it. :D This actually gives me so much hope for the student body, for the university, for the world (haha Obama ba ito?). What a great, great, great victory for everyone.
I'm so happy that these incredibly lovely and deserving people got elected too! \:D/
Lee Tan - USC Councilor
Gino Leynes - CS Rep to the USC
Beng Villamil - CSSC Chairperson
Clar Gonzales - CSSC Councilor \m/
Bea Eusebio - Chem Rep to the CSSC
Hannah Keila Garcia - Sociology Rep to the CSSPSC
What a beautiful, beautiful day yesterday was. And today, as well as all the other days when you've got leaders of this caliber. Go go go. :D

In less than happy news, I... have run out of money. T_T
Well, no. Not really. But gah. I've already spent what little I've saved since Christmas. I just realized that by tomorrow I'd have watched 3 movies in two weeks. And by next Wednesday I'd have watched 3 musicals (bare counts as two) in 3 weeks. WTF, LARA. Fasting + no social life from next week onwards, okay?
I need to save money for this theatre obsession, and of course for incredibly important personal use as well. I need to be able to save enough to open my own bank account - preferably right after I buy my Spelling Bee tickets in a couple of weeks. UGH. Must. Save. If only in case of rainy days in the future, you know? I really need to get some kind of job. And soon. Any ideas?

Aaaannnnddddd... back to happier news before I end this entry.
So much has already been said about Spring Awakening's
performance at Defying Inequality a few nights ago (WOOT new video -
closer view! And another -
new angle!), and I've contributed to the discussion pretty much like this: ALKJA'LDKJA';DJFALKJFA';FLJA' SO AWESOME OMG.
BUT. I wanted to share this picture that is so full of WIN in so many different ways:
1. FRANCES!
2. O HAI GLENN'S TOUPEE
3. sdfgh';kajlasdfkj GALLAGHER
4. The Groff Smirk
5. Emma's fierce head-banging!
6. MATT. DOYLE. I don't even know where to start. That pose. That smirk. Those ugly jeans.
DISCUSS!

People die. The truth is so disheartening that at times I can't bear to articulate it. Why should we go on? Why don't we all just stop and lie down where we are? But there is another truth, too. People live. It's an equal and opposing truth. People live, and in the most remarkable ways. When I was sick, I saw more beauty and triumph and truth in a single day than I ever did in a bike race.
