Marty & Angela's Apartment: Monday
Yesterday had been a bit surreal for Marty. After years of dealing with his own daddy issues, now he was a daddy. And now a day that usually filled him with remorse and neurotic fits was now... well it was a happier occasion but it still gave him neurotic fits.
What if he screwed up? What if whatever nutty tendencies he had in life makes Abby nutty? How badly is Abby going to react when he shoots her first boyfriend because he tried to kiss her?
Okay that last one probably wouldn't happen because of the "no more guns" rule. Maybe Angela would make an exception when Abby started "dating".
Regardless of all his neuroses, Marty was able to get some things right. Abby was fed, dressed neatly and now she had fallen asleep on his shoulder.
And it was in that moment when Abby snuggled up on Marty's shoulder that he realized he could do it. He could be a good Dad right now and that's all that mattered until tomorrow and that just maybe... Just maybe Abby wouldn't need therapy before she turns twelve.
