The noise from the Slavic neighbors had gotten worse. Which is why he missed Jaye's call again.
Marty decided to something about it. Which is why he's knocking on the door with his cell phone in his hand.
"Excuse me," he said as the Slavic couple answered the door in hastily donned clothes. "Are you familiar with the show, Crime and Punishment?"
The couple just stared at Marty in disbelief.
"There's this noise that that they use for the transition sequence. How would you describe that noise?"
The man looked at Marty and shrugged. "Doink. Doink."
The woman looked at her husband and glared. "Chung! Chung!"
And it went on from there.
Marty went ahead and recorded the two arguing on Jaye's voicemail before he went back to his room now confident that he had mucked up enough minds for the evening.
