NYC: Tuesday, All day

It's a small apartment. One bedroom with a separate kitchen and a living room that really should be called a closet. However the apartment has one thing going for it that cannot be beat: Rent Control.

Marty has spent most of the morning moving boxes into the apartment taking the occasional break to test whether or not the phone was workingRight

Angela huffed up the stairs carrying a box full of CDs. "Remind me why you had to move in August?" she asked, as she set down the box and dramatically collapsed to the floor.

Marty grinned and went to the fridge to pull out a couple of cold sodas. "Don't blame me for how the school schedule worked out. I'm totally innocent on timelines here," he said tossing a can to Angela. "Besides you look good sweaty."

Angela held the can away from herself to open it, then slurped off the foam as it dribbled onto her fingers.

"I'll take the compliment," she said. "It's nice to get out of Pittsburgh, anyhow. I was ready to kill Danielle."

[oatmanspatient]

"Aw, she's a sweetheart," Marty teased. "She only pesters you because she loves you. Down. Deep deep down."

[chasingangela]

"It's not even that," Angela said, snickering. "But it's icky watching her try to hit on Brian Krakow."

She made a face and looked around the apartment. "So are you going to redecorate?"

[oatmanspatient]

"Well the lease says I can paint the walls and hang up pictures," Marty said grabbing a dish towel to mop his forehead. "So I guess we could spruce the place up a bit. Why? Did you have any ideas?"

[chasingangela]

Angela closed her eyes, thinking. "I see ... stucco, kind of?" she suggested. "Like, that fake stucco paint. All over the walls. Oh, and dark blue."

[oatmanspatient]

Marty looked around the apartment and nodded to himself. "Yeah, I can see that. Maybe once we get this place unpacked we can find a hardware store to find what we need. Have you ever done that fake stucco thing before?"

[chasingangela]

"No," Angela admitted. "Um, I've painted. Do you think it's, like,a lot harder?"
