Monday, Jan 12. 4:20pm Adam Barnard, 18, of 666 deerfield rd Shrewsbury was arrested after a drunken drag race with a police officer ended with the suspect assaulting several police officers with a high explosive incindiary deivce from a baracaded position behind his Mazda Pickup. Mr. Barnard attempted to escape through a manhole but was tranq-sniped by a member of the State Police STOP team. Mr. Barnard is being charged with Assaulting several (5) Police Officers, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possesion of Heroin with intent to distribute, Possesion of several (2) Glock .40 calibre automatic pistols without a permit, Possesion of an incindiary device (bazooka) without a permit, Open and gross lewdness, Driving while under the influence of alcohol, speeding, marked lane violation, failure to stop at a red light, failure to stop for a police officer, resisting arrest, and being a disorderly person.
