Cleaning
So I've been cleaning the apartment this weekend. Last night I got rid of old bills to be shredded. I had a huge pile of old mail/bills that I needed to go through and throw out/file what needed to be filed. All I have left on that are my student loan statements. I need to look through those and see what needs to be kept.
Today was the cleaning. I'm done for the day because I'm exhausted right now, but most of the place is done. I just have a bit of the bedroom and the bathroom left. It's not perfect, because I know my mother would look at this place and still shake her head, but it's my own kind of organized chaos. And I haven't seen this much carpet since I moved in. :)
Tomorrow I go home to use my father's shredder and shred all those old bills. Ends up my sister and brother-in-law were planning on coming over to do a BBQ, so I'll be home for that. And at some point I need to continue work on my thesis.
It's been a productive day. I'm going to veg on the couch for awhile since every time I stand up I feel light headed. There are times I wonder how I'm able to do many 1/2 marathons over the years (I've done one full marathon and hope to do the LA Marathon one year) a five mile walk is a short trip for me, yet cleaning my apartment has driven me to complete exhaustion. Who knew it's takes more energy to clean than to exercise.
