So I had a lovely birthday visit with my dad, who is now 64. I really wish I'd thought to play that song for him, that was his favorite Beatles album afterall :)  We made a few dinners at home, did a little shopping, had a nice breakfast out, I went to the hospital with him while he got blood drawn and met his oncologist, and spent a LOT of time ( Read more... )

It was a bit too misty for a really good view but trust me, the Smokies are gorgeous.  We went boating yesterday, today we went to Pigeon Forge and into the Smokies National Park.  We drove up to Clingmans Dome.  I saw like a billion hiking trails I would have loved to go off on.  Alas, my parents are not really up to task, either is their tiny ( Read more... )
