Long overdue...
Haven't had much chance to update this since Bloodstock Indoor as I have been rather busy with work, photography etc. Thought it was about time I made an entry though...
Bloodstock was excellent. Had a really good time, saw some really good bands and have come away knowing that my bank balance is not going to like me once I start purchasing more cds :) Bands of the weekend for me were by far After Forever, Amon Amarth, Suidakra, Season's End and Hammerfall. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the other bands but those stand out... by a long way :)
Met and caught up with some really cool people... Oceanborners, people I met last year and new people :) Whizzed around for the weekend taking photos along with Alli and James... really looking forward to working with them again :)
Have been busy working on the photos from Bloodstock... some appear on the official Bloodstock site, Metal Monk and now my own site. I'm currently in the process of working on the last two batches for my site, Season's End and Suidakra. Hopefully they will be online before the end of the day.
Went and photographed Opeth and Extol the other night in Manchester... another excellent gig (Photos online soon at Metal Monk and my own site). I couldn't stay for the whole of Opeth but what I saw / heard was superb. Really liking Opeth at the moment, so thank you to those of you who introduced me to their greatness. I've since purchased Ghost Reveries :)
Off to Dragonforce on Tuesday night... should be good. Danny was telling me they put on a good show last night... just hoping I get some good photos :)
Then off to London for Nightwish on Sunday... really looking forward to it, not least because it's like a mini holiday going down to London, especially when you take a couple of days off work! :)
In other news one of my Sonata Arctica photos from Thirteenth Day was in Metal Hammer (most recent edition) :)
