watching the oscars. so far john stewart is very funny.  I'm still sadden that MacAvoy and Knightly did not get nominated for Atonement.  I really hope it takes the best picture award. But I have a feeling it will be No Country for Old Men or possibly There Will Be Blood, neither of which I've seen.  I do want to see them both actually. Katie

a) yes, you are allowed to have non-gay crushes on girls. It's totally acceptable ;)

b) is it bad that my favorite moments of the night were:
James McAvoy and Josh Brolin on stage together (so cute!)
Johnny Depp saying "woo! woo-woo!" to Vanessa when the production design team won for ST (waaaay cute!)
Jon Stewart letting the girl from Once come back on stage (her speech was great and it was such a nice thing for him to do)
Other than those few moments, it was all pretty blah to me...

yeah it was okay. I liked the montage's of the people who won before. I also think that the halle berry and dame judy dench skit (with the superbad and knocked up guy names escape me at the moment) was funny. I liked stewart alot, when he brought out the awesome girl from August Rush and then played wii tennis.
I loooved James and Josh too. And Johnny..someday he will win...someday.

I think Johnny's going to end up like Peter O'Toole... he'll get nominated five or six times and finally win when he's in his 70s...
