hey there, I just noticed that you and I are the only people on LJ that have Richard Tognetti in our interests list - kinda exciting I guess, makes us speical or something! I was just wondering if your Richard Tognetti is the same as mine? Who is yours?

My Richard Tognetti (hah, I wish) is the absolutely fantastic violinist from Australia (I believe?).

Special, indeed, is it the same person; I was positively shocked when I listed that interest that no one had him down as well.

I saw him perform for the first time about 5 nights ago, I was blown away, the man is amazing! Actually, the whole Chamber Orchestra are great.

I was suprisied too that no one else had him listed, we are obviously the most educated and cultured people on LJ! Ok, so maybe I'm taking it a bit too far there!

I've never seen him live, sadly (I must say I'm extremely jealous of you!), but after I heard him on the Master and Commander soundtrack and, later, saw him on the Master and Commander DVD extras, I fell in love; he's definitely one of the best violinists I've ever become acquainted with.

Haha, we have class that no one else possesses, ;)

Oooo, I didn't realise that the wonderful music from Master and Commander was him. Now I'll have to source the soundtrack....
