A Pain In The Neck

Apr 08, 2011 16:10

I have been off work these last 2 days. I am rarely sick, but I just couldn't manage to go in yesterday. I woke up almost unable to move my head without terrible pain in my neck and right shoulder. I have had an issue with this shoulder for many years following a rotator cuff injury. I guess I have learned to live with the dull ache which is there more often than not, but it does flare up every now and again. It seems that for no reason that I can tell, it has decided to play up. It was time to head off to the physio for some treatment. Elliot, my physiotherapist was very good and manhandled manipulated my sore regions! He found knotted muscles in my neck and shoulder with numerous trigger points...I never knew I had so many sore spots and I have to say that I was in agony! However, I have to say that despite feeling very bruised and sore, I can move my neck in an almost normal, full range and my shoulder feels looser than it has in months. I have to continue with my exercises and will go back again early next week.

I decided to buy a small 'point & shoot' camera, for those times when I don't want to carry my DSLR. I love my camera, but sometimes I just want a small camera to slip in my pocket for general snapshots. I got a very good deal with a Nikon Coolpix S8100. Unfortunately the weather was just too wet and horrible for me to go out snapping, and besides, I don't really feel like dashing around. All I could manage was a trip to the mailbox, so just some flowers to keep you happy for now.
