Rainy Day
It's raining! It's been raining since last night and looks set for more over the next few days. However, I'm not complaining because all too soon it will be blistering heat and suffocating humidity. There has been low cloud all day and even my balcony plants have been drizzled upon. It's looking and feeling autumnal. Even the birds have been huddled up.
So, I have had a lazy day, catching up on chores, writing to my parents (which always seems to take a lot longer than it really should). They enjoy phone calls from me, even though I have little to tell them. They seem to forget a percentage of what I say so I can always recycle the old news and that keeps them happy till the next time we speak! I always hand wrote my letters, having a lovely gold pen and ink. But Word and the range of fonts has made me lazy, and I admit to typing to them these days...and it's so much quicker as well. My parents also have the added bonus that they can read what I have written rather than trying to decipher my spider hieroglyphics.
I baked some mini cupcakes and ate a load of them! Well, they are just bite-size. I made enough for Andrew as well, so he'll be happy that there are enough left.
And that was my day.
