I wanted to thank everyone who commented on my last entry. It's nice to hear words of support and commiseration.
I heart you guys.

I realized, after a long talk with Donna about many things ("Of shoes and ships and sealing-wax, of cabbages and kings...") I realized I've been a lot more depressed these last 8 months than I'd known. Again, I'm the last person to know.

I think I'm finally coming out of it. It's May, and if it's not sunny and warm, it's not pouring freezing rain all the time. I'm writing again, even if it is fanfiction and bad poetry. I'm actually admitting to being lonely and habitually alienating. And I'm trying to take responsibility for myself. This means doing homework, keeping appointments, taking care of my section of the garden, washing my dishes, doing my chores, and all the other boring stuff that's necessary to living among other people.

So good. Yeah. Time to start engaging in my life again.

But in the meantime, here's a meme I gacked from peachy_penumbra.

1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.
Heathers. One of my favorites since I was twelve.

2. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in the theater.
Return of the King. Probably around ten times. It came out when I was really depressed, okay?

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.
Partick Stewart. I'll even willingly watch Star Trek movies with him as Jean-Luc Picard.

4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.
Will Ferrell. *shudders*

5. Name a movie that you can quote from.
LOTR trilogy. Favorite line = "It's sticky! What is it?!" *snerk*

6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs.
Does the Little Mermaid count?

7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.
Little Mermaid. Sorry, I don't really know that many musicals.

8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.
The History Boys.

9. Name a movie that you own.
Pump Up The Volume. Because it doesn't get much better than teen rebellion and pirate radio.

10.Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.
Did you know Christopher Walken was actually trained in dance? You should see that man tap.

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?
Yeah, but it's been a while. I think we saw Face Off, during spacebutt's John Travolta phase.

12. Ever made out in a movie?
Yep. And then some.

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it.
Midnight Cowboys.

14. Ever walked out of a movie?
Yeah. The Incredible Hulk.

15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.
Whale Rider. I was sobbing like a baby.

16. Popcorn?
Essential.

17. How often do you go to the movies?
Not nearly as often as I'd like.

18. What's the last movie you saw in the theater?
Children of Men.

19. What's your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
Drama, or a big epic fantasy or scifi if I'm at the theater.

20. What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
Alladin.

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
I don't remember the title, but I think it was supposed to be a scary movie about evil dark stuff and it had Anna Paquin. Such a waste of $7

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Cat Soup.

23. What is the scariest movie you've seen?
Much as I'm embarrassed to admit it, Dawn of the Dead scared the crap out of me.

24. What is the funniest movie you've seen?
Hmmm. Well, the most recent was High Spirits. Best one liners I've heard in a movie in a long time.

depression, dumb shit
