(no subject)
A tree on our street got knocked over by the wind last night, effectively knocking out power to our house, the dorms, the apartment complexes nearby, AND THE ENTIRE CAMPUS!
So I got a day off. Awesome!
Unfortunately, our house was freezing. We built a fire, and decided to be awesome and cook sausage and potatoes on the open coals. The sausage worked out quite well, I'm happy to report. The potatoes... not so much.
Me: (looking at the shriveled, blackened, wasted potatoes) I guess I should have used tinfoil.
Ed: Mmm. Tastes like camp fire.
Like, I said; awesome. An excellent roommate bonding experience.
Also, I learned today that I'm going to be in a performance on Friday, as kind of a preview deal for the main thing, which will be in December.
Gah! What? Crap!
...
Aaaand, I'm over it. For some reason, my self-confidence has been returning from whatever sunny place it decided to vacation in for the past several weeks. It should go smoothly. And it'll be a small audience. So screw it. I'll be fabulous. We'll all be fabulous.
I'm going to go home and hope that the power has been restored. Otherwise, I'll have a lot of melting ice cream too eat.
Of course, this would happen days after the Dairy Party. Ew.
