Hi, flist, and hello newcomers!

Nice to see so many new folks here! I'm delighted! Thought I'd post a little meme sort of thing to say hello, both to veteran friends who rarely hear from me, and to new friends as a sort of welcome wagon. I saw  this idea on an old thread at God Awful Fan Fiction, and it rather tickled my sense of whimsy.

As for me, well, when wanking, Sirius uses his sock(s) to avoid mess. *g*

Sirius also has a silly daft side that few get to see.

And Remus, while he enjoys reading very much, is also a bit of a sneaky bastard and a total prankster along with the rest of them. (He just disapproves of the bullying bits). And he's also quite the *ahem* animal in the sack (Sirius has that effect on him *g*) with a distinct potty mouth when angry that only his three friends are privy to.

I do love the idea of Sirius being a total "Black" when he first got to school and being rather shocked with his sorting.

Really, I don't generally write my stories to be read in the same "universe", but I'm sure I'll come up with some more quirks that will pop up in various stories.

Ahh, my controversial wanking fic! Not shippy, though it's Sirius teaching Remus about and how to wank, but they are 2nd years (summer term) and both 13, so...

Still, I had a lot of fun writing that one, and the idea for it actually came from a personal experience I had in camp - namely walking in on the 13 year old boys in their bunk (after curfew - they were being very loud) and discovering the reason for their loudness was that they were all having a bit of a circle jerk. I was 15 (almost 16) at the time, and the memory is still quite vivid! (They weren't using socks - they were trying to aim for the chocolate chip cookies from the evening milk and cookie snack. *facepalm* But there are boys who do actually use socks for that!)

That fic just killed me, I kid you not!I thought Sirius and his socks was just about the grossest and funniest thing I'd read for a very long time. Such a vile but sensible teenage boy thing to do.

Indeed! I had so much fun writing it, but there were a few people who felt that 13 was a bit too young for boys to be wanking. Heh. Not where I come from! (And really, they weren't wanking each other or even watching! Totally not shippy and completely a 'best friend' kind of thing! After all, when I was 13, my friend Wendy gave us all a practical demonstration on how to use tampons - and we DID watch her! *g*)
