Am incoherent now--how you do play on my emotions like a harp, wringing out the pleasure and the laughter and the pain and making them beautiful. An absolutely lovely story--I'm so glad it is continuing! (And no, I am not crying at work. I will wait until I get home.)
Adores back...nyxfixxDecember 19 2005, 20:15:46 UTC
Ah, busaikko, you crack me up! Sorry to have made your brain melt, but you seem to have recovered nicely. Glad you enjoyed the story; it was a weird one, but I just had to get it down on the page. Thanks for getting in touch!
I'm too tired and too crampy and too weepy to leave you the glowing, coherent review you so richly deserve, but you've done it once again! Sucked me in and made me believe in magic and love and romance and hope, and I am such a girly girl because I'm sitting here crying again. Oh, Nyx! This was beautiful!!
Especially nice to hear from you...nyxfixxDecember 19 2005, 20:19:26 UTC
Hi, Lisa, glad that you are home and reading and posting; you've had such terrible health issues lately. Hope you are feeling better, though it's a shame you are still a bit crampy.
And now I've gone and compounded the issue by making you cry! But it's always good to believe in love and hope and magic, so I'm satisfied. So glad you enjoyed this story, and thank you for saying so, you "girly girl" ;)
Tons of hugs in returnnyxfixxDecember 19 2005, 20:25:05 UTC
Glad you enjoyed this one so much; as I mentioned to you last night, I was almost under a compulsion to write it. Those recurring dreams are weird little critters, aren't they?
Thanks especially for noticing some of the more-than-meets-the-eye elements here, I guess I always have a bit of hidden agenda, so to speak. But I try not to let the themes get in the way of the story, so I'm glad to hear that worked for you.
Thanks also for the typo alert! Sheesh! Found and corrected, thanks to you.

You are always welcome to any distraction I can provide! It's a particularly high compliment, in a way, if you are. Thanks for dropping by and reading and commenting!

Yes, thanks, I did see them. I tried that method for HPSpotlighting, and it did work and was easy even for ME, but the format did develop some odd kinks in the translation. I'll have to see what I can do about that for siriusloving. I think there's enough "Sirius-content" in this fic to make it especially suitable for that comm, but I don't want to send them a wonky version. Anyway, next time I post something, I'll know how to do it the EASY way, thanks to you!
Sorry I had to be so sneaky about it being meant, ultimately, as a birthday gift to you, but you know you had fair warning. Remember when I told you I'd dreamed about a terrible storm coming when you had to evacuate Houston ahead of Rita?
Not sure if it's entirely appropriate to make the birthday-girl be the birthday-beta, but you know I can't post anything without your seal of approval.
And, yeah, the whole idea of loss and the stages of grief were more or less at the heart of this - not the immediate, almost paralyzing stage, but that stage when you begin to feel like maybe you're going to be all right after all. I know you know what I'm talking about. Thanks again for all your input and help with this odd little fic, and thank you for your lovely comments. I'm so glad you liked it!
