Four years of hell actually paid off.

For once, I can actually say that I'm...grateful I stuck with IB for all those years.

So here's the story. I had my STAR (Student Testing And Registration) thingy at VCU today, and we were split up into groups according to our major. Anyway, we're figuring out what courses we have to take, and my advisor asked if anyone had any credits from AP, IB, or Dual Enrollment. And so I said I did, and we figured out that with the 5's I got in English, Biology, and History, I can get three credit hours for each, meaning I don't have to take them. So that's 12 credit hours right there. Plus, I took a Spanish placement test, and I get four credit hours for being able to place high enough to exempt Spanish 101. All in all, that's 16 credit hours that I already have taken care of, which is the equivalent to a full semester.

Which leaves me room to take some amazingly easy and awsome classes, considering I'm technically a second semester freshman. So here's my schedual:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
Survey of American History 10:00-10:50 AM

Monday:
Ethical Problems in Mass Media 7:00-9:40 PM
(this class rocks, because it's like TOK, only better.)

Tuesday:
TOP: Experiencing Music 1:00-1:50 PM
(this is a random elective class where all you do is attend concerts and write papers about them.)

Wednesday:
U.S. Government/Political Science 4:00-6:40 PM

Thursday:
Western World Literature 7:00-9:40 PM
(they had American Lit, but horrorific memories of Celestino and The Red Badge of Courage made me shy away from it.)

So yeah, that's two history classes, one class focusing on my major, a music elective, and a lit class. I'd say that's a fucking awsome schedual for first semester.
