The One Where Anne Melts, Tired...
Well, today was not the ripe slice of Heck that yesterday was, actually, and for that I am grateful. The boss was so looking forwards to his weekend that for most of it, he had his head OUT of his arse, and actually looked at what I was sending rather than ignoring it and moving along, and then asking for it later. For this I was glad.
Veronica went out to get some food purchasing done and I retaliated in the usual childish way-- putting on my iPod and yowling like a dead cat. However, my iPod was in a mood and when I hit "Shuffle", some filk slipped in, and so I was yowling "Web of Light" and "Shadowlover" along with "Come to My Window", "Sexyback", "Moves Like Jagger", etc. ANd *that* got me all sad and stuff for Vanyel, and Tannim and... well, I hit paperback swap, figuring that, hell, I have the three-in-one version of the Last Herald Mage for my depressing pleasure, but I needed some Tannim and BOOM then I found them... no really... for FREE (my actual favorite cost for something) I found the concordances for BOTH LHM *and* the Arrows books...

I have wanted these books since they were in the drawing stage... by the time they were relased I was broke and then when I got money again I was soured on Lackey due to that whole fandom making me feel unappreciated and like crap because of a certain person in it telling a whole lot of people that I was mean to her and those people, who really SHOULD have known better taking HER side and calling me an egomaniacle bitch... silly me, but that kinda soured me on Lackey fandom... BUT ANYHOW... I snapped THOSE up, and THEN found a two-in-one edition of everything Tannim and got THAT... again, for free... and I still have credits left... man I love paperback swap. :D
And after that, Ronka got home while I was yowling and we had a lovely afternoon with me finishing work, and then possibly selling a whole slew of model horses, and getting news that the friends coming down to visit next week also want to take us to see ::fangirl squee:: THE AVENGERS... can it get any better? ::makes sighs about Clint::
And then Ronka cooked some Zatarans rice thing for dinner, and it burned a wee bit but-- get this-- it made it BETTER... again, this is truth... it gave the rice and spices this KICK and made the chicken all carmelized and yummy and it was AMAZING.
Tomorrow, I will wallow with paper and ink. I just MIGHT get online in the late evening to do some games I do... but then again... I might not. :D
