Well, here I am sitting at work watching wonderful heart beats. *sigh* Yeah, it is just about that exciting. lol. Well we just had a nice fire alarm go off. Apparently someone down in labor and delivery had to have a smoke and set off the alarm. Sucks to be them, because they are responsible for the fire department bill. lol. Nothing major happening here, had a v-tach alarm, nothing big. They converted back out after only 37 beats. I know most of my friends on here won't have a clue what I just typed, but those that do, might consider this a bit concerning.
Just bought my second shipment of stuff from newegg to build my new computer. I have everything now but the video card and monitor. Once I have them I'll have a good new system. I'll have a ASUS P5K wi-fi MB with a Wolfdale 3.0 GHz Core2Duo 6MB cache proc, 4GB of OC memory, 500GB Western Dig HDD, 20x Light-scribe DVD +/-RW drive, Saitek keyboard, standard 3 button mouse, Vista 64-bit OS, still debating Video Card. Right now it is looking to be a 8800GTS 512MB card. I think it will work better than the 9600GT I was looking at. The 8800 has 128 proc units, while the 9600 had only 64. We'll see when I talk to Kevin and get his thoughts. I'm thinking of going with a samsung LCD 22" monitor, might opt out for a 24" monitor.
This weekend Roger and I are planning a visit up to chicago. We are going to be staying with a couple that recently moved to the city. It'll be great to see both Jim and Kevin. That evening we are going to be doing dinner at Medieval Times. Hopefully our friend Chris will be joining us. We will have to head out on the I-90 out to Schaumberg. I have ate there one time before and it was a great time. Expensive... but great! Anyways, if any of our other chicago pals would like to join us out. You are more than welcome to enjoy! Then sunday we'll leave their place so that I can head out to my pal Matt's place for our first Star Trek RPG game. We made characters nearly a month ago, so it will be great to finally get to put my xenobiologist/physician into action.
Well that seems to be all for now. I have to get back to doing my job. Take care everyone, and have a great week.
*Great Big Bear Hugs*
