I shall have to get a Colin/Jared icon soon

Mar 14, 2010 23:52

I realize I don't post to my journal as often as I think about posting. I mean, I still post relatively frequently, but there's so many time throughout my day where I think 'Gotta post that to LJ'. But by the time I get to my computer I've gotten too lazy or something and no longer feel like typing it all up. I'm going to try to remedy this ( Read more... )

Go See Alice! In 3D To-do list.

OH YES, PLEASE DO. I LOVE MUSICALS. AND DO THEY REALLY GET ANY FUNNER (yeah, so not a word) OR CAMPIER THAN ROCKY? REALLY? I have not seen Rocky, the movie, even. Sooo. Speaking of musicals-made-as-film, tho, have you seen Were the World Mine? Not the most out-there, but it might interest you. :D

Lol, if you do watch Alexander be careful of which version you see. There are three of them. I saw the first, shorter, made-for-theatre version and was quite confused with the storyline. But that didn't stop the Colin/Jared-Alexander/Hephaestion love from growing in me. I recently rented the third, longest version called Alexander: Revisited so I can 1) see how much better this version is since it received much better reviews, and 2) so I can see more Alexander/Hephaestion love and create more Colin/Jared love in my mind. lol

I hope get the right version. I'm planning to watch it maybe two weeks from now, with my sister. I was telling here how to flail over Colin Farrell, last night (upon reading your post.)

And what's this? You want links??? Here's one. And if you go to 0:15 of this one you can see them with Colin's son. I must admit to spending two hours last night, looking through vids and pics of both of them, separately and together. I am, however, not clicking on any more links until March 26th. :)) And then I shall flood your post. (Maybe.)

And my icon is of Scottish actors David Tennant and John Barowman. They played on the Brit show Doctor Who together. This is at Comic-Con 2009. John Barrowman! <3 He has a, a someone. An architect someone. For the love of his life. <3 I'm not into the fandom, but I'm into John Barrowman, and can't seem to keep from re-watching his 'I am What I am" performances off youtube. Tyring to get into orchwood, though. :D

I'm so jealous that you're done with school. Oh well. Final streeeeeetch!

Were the World Mine? No, I've never heard of that one. But I like all kinds of musicals. I'm not sure I've seen one I haven't enjoyed yet. I will just have to add that one to my 'to-watch' list.

You've never seen the Rocky movie? That's how I was first introduced to it, thanks to a certain best friend of mine. Does that mean you've seen it in theaters before then?

Confused a bit by this sentence...

Why March 26th? Is that when you plan to watch the movie?

I'm not into the fandom, but I'm into John Barrowman
I'm not really into David Tennant/John Barrowman, myself, outside of the fact that Barrowman's character on Doctor Who (Capt. Jack) wants David's character (The Doctor). But this is actually a real picture. David actually kissed him at Comic-Con, live on stage and everything! John Barrowman's reaction afterwards was classic! lol

As for Torchwood, I watch it, but it's not the best show out there in regards to writing and acting. It has gotten much better, though. Each season was an improvement until the greatness of the 3rd season.

I'm so jealous that you're done with school.
I'm not finished yet, just spring break. I still have 2 months once we return. I wish I was finished, though. This semester is hell. >.<

Lol, I'm 19, but my comparison of him to Kurama isn't in the looks department, per se. A lot of my LJ flist are into the YYH fandom adn write slash stories about the characters. And Kurama's like the fandom bicycle, every body does him (lol). I compare fandom!Jared to Kurama in that way. I can read just about any pairing with Jared as bottom and enjoy it, but only a few pairings with him as dominant (as with Kurama) and like them.

Just saying, we are a cycle of quotations.

Were the World Mine is a gay, teen, heavily-Shakespearean-inspired musical set in a private high school in the US. It gives off this vibe of intimacy and indie.

The most I've seen of Rocky is some youtube clips of some songs. Must rectify this ASAP, yes? Yes.

Typo! D: Telling her. I was telling my sister. She was looking over my shoulder going, what's that? And I told her, this, this is potential epic. <3

Why March 26th? Is that when you plan to watch the movie? Last day of final exams! :O Then two weeks of summer break. (Then summer term. D: But anyway.)

John Barrowman's reaction afterwards was classic! lol

Pretty man. I can imagine.

Lol, I'm 19 Hi! :D I'm 18. :D

my comparison of him to Kurama isn't in the looks department, per se. A lot of my LJ flist are into the YYH fandom adn write slash stories about the characters. And Kurama's like the fandom bicycle, every body does him (lol). There's always one, in any fandom.

I can read just about any pairing with Jared as bottom and enjoy it, but only a few pairings with him as dominant (as with Kurama) and like them. I used to have this thing with Hiei/Kurama, some years ago, and I can't quite understand how my 15-year-old self reconciled the height difference, because now I'm at a bit of a loss. Maybe some fic recs. Google. In two weeks. Something. :))

We do like the quotations, don't we?

That musical looks all sorts of fun! I'm really going to have to watch it soon. Is it a new release or will Netflix or someone already have it? Gah! Yes, you must rectify your lack of Rocky watchage! If I knew how to make DVD copies I would copy mine and send it to you. That's how serious it is.

Watch it  here. It's hilarious. Skip to 0:30 to see the whole thing.

But why didn't I know you were 18?? Could've sworn you were older than me. :S
