I am 17 and he is 18. We would have been a miracle if not for the fact that he has a bimbo for a girlfriend; she’s the captain cheerleader. I just could not put a finger as to why footballers like bimbos.
Okay, personally, I don’t really fancy jocks because I think they are the root of all assholes. However, things happen and I just seem to have a crush on an 18-year-old football captain. I cannot stalk him because he happens to live beside me - my neighbour. And, I cannot strike a conversation with him normally in school because he’s always teasing me and bringing out the worst in me.
Excruciating? I know.
The worst part is, he thinks I’m a joke.
But, well, it was not his fault. I have a problem: I act meanly towards the guy I like.
But, let’s get back to business and put aside all my pain and anguish because this is my story. Not his.
I think…
“Crap, crap, crap, crap,” Alice cursed as she covered her ears with her pillow.
She had been cranky the whole day that day because she had only 3 hours of sleep - because of her science project - and the neighbour next door aren’t making her headache any better.
She glanced at her clock: 12:37 A.M.
“Don’t this people sleep?!” She screamed aloud, making her ears vibrate from the high-pitched sound.
Angrily, she got up from her bed and looked out her window where it faced her neighbour’s son’s room. What she saw appalled her.
Even though the lights were off, the moonlight reflected most of the light into the room and she saw couples - dozens of them - making out. Below them, students and their friends scattered the front lawn of the house like ants.
Suddenly, she heard the shattering of glasses and a high-pitch scream above the loud music. She closed her eyes in an attempt to hold her brain in.
Another shatter.
Unable to take the noise anymore, she stomped angrily down the stairs and out the door towards her neighbour’s house. Those pesky, inconsiderate aliens are not going to get away from her now…
She pushed her way through the crowded front lawn, climbed the porch steps and slammed the door open. She scanned the crowd for the culprit who set up this party.
What she saw this time made her heart plummeted. Still, she knew better than to show her disappointment because, the culprit, was also her crush. And he was making out with his blonde, bimbo girlfriend on the couch.
“Damien Ian Seige!” Alice shouted, trying to get her voice above the noise.
Everyone stopped whatever they were doing and stared at the party crasher. Slowly - and agonisingly -, Damien looked up when he heard his name being called.
He smirked when he saw Alice standing at the door with her arms on her hips and looking cute with her bunny pyjamas. Her hair indicated than she had just gotten out of bed and her expression clearly showed that she was disturbed.
Damien did not know why but, he loved to see Alice get angry and disturbed because of him. Basically, he liked seeing her reaction whenever he was around her.
“What’s up, honey?” He beamed at her and looked her up and down.
His girlfriend on his lap fidgeted as she smirked at the dishevelled girl at the door.
“I cannot believe you! It’s 12:40 in the morning and you don’t even have the decency to implant some courtesy in your ignorant, arrogant brain! Can’t you see that there’re actually humans here trying to catch some sleep?!” She screamed, fury apparent in her voice and her body language.
Her, sexy, petite, cute body. Damien licked his lips and regarded Alice.
“Aww, come on. It’s Saturday tomorrow. Let down your hair, sweetheart,” He winked cheekily at her.
That must have been the last straw because she suddenly stomped towards the radio and smacked the stop button, hard. The music stopped, emphasising the silence in the room.
“Damien…” She gritted her teeth as she tried to talk to him, calmly. “I have not had a decent sleep in the past two weeks, Damien… Two, freaking, agonising, painful weeks. Can’t you for once, work with me here?!”
Alice gave him a pleading look - something she would rather die doing but had to since she’s only 17 and she has not even gotten back her science project she had worked so hard for.
They stared at each other for what seemed like eternity before he finally stood up, carrying his girlfriend bridal style, and facing the lot of people in his living room.
“Alright people, mama’s angry and party’s over!” He said casually as he put down his clingy girlfriend gently.
She pouted at him and tugged his football jersey, hinting to him that she wanted to say.
Ignoring her request, he urged everyone to leave. With a groan, everyone got ready to go home - of course without failing to look at Alice with annoyed-slash-irritated-slash-murderous looks.
In fact, the whole living room was choking with murderous intent towards Alice, it was hard to breathe properly.
However, Alice could do nothing except to stare back at those nocturnal animals.
Wait for the next post for part TWO.
Which will be pretty soon, I suppose. /:
